10F0LD Productions Presents: Black Lesbian Archives: Bridging the Community Gap June 14th, 2018 - July 13, 2018 The overall mission of this exhibit is to discuss importance of archiving our history and exploring how we can bridge the generational gap in order to build a solid foundation for our future as a community. There will be a curated collection from the archives of Affinity Community Services, Windy City Times & Gerber Hart Library. Opening night of the exhibit is June 8th and will be held at Affinity Community Services (2850 S Wabash Ave). All events are inclusive and open to the public. ---- (event dates are subject to change. Limited seating available.) June 14th (6-8:30PM) (Opening Night) Sisters in the Life Book Release & Artist Talk with Yvonne Welbon. (Ticket Required) Monday, June 18, 2018: (6-8PM) Short Film Screening / Artist Talk with Kasey White - The Homestretch and Coquie Hughes - My Mama Said Yo Mama’s A Dyke. (Ticket Required) Thursday, June 21, 2018: (7-9PM) W.O.M.B Poetry Open Mic. Tuesday, July 3rd, 2018 (6-8PM) Panel Discussion (TBA) Friday, July 13, 2018: (6-8PM) Closing Exhibit Reception Come by to mix and mingle.
